How do we help
Whether you’re looking for xero bookkeeping services or assistance with staying on track with BAS, we have the knowledge, expertise and qualifications your business needs.
Minimum BAS Agent Requirements
If you’re looking for a bookkeeper, make sure they meet the minimum BAS agent requirements.
A bookkeeper can apply to become a Registered BAS Agent, once they meet the high standards of registration including:
1,400 hours supervised experience lodging BAS during the past four years
Maintaining Professional indemnity insurance to compensate clients in the event of loss due to an act, error or omission provided by a BAS Agent.
Professional Code of Conduct
A BAS Agent follows a professional Code of Conduct so you’ll know what to expect from them.
Breaches can mean huge fines or loss of registration. To ensure you are protected, the code covers the following:
Honesty and Integrity
Acting honestly, complying with tax laws, dealing with money in a trustworthy manner.
Acting in best interest of client and managing conflicts of interest.
Look for the registered BAS agent symbol
Since 1 March 2018, the ATO requires bookkeepers providing a BAS service to be registered.
Don’t risk your business with an inexperienced bookkeeper. It can be expensive and emotionally draining.
Have confidence, knowing your bookkeeper is qualified and registered.
